Balloon Eats Balloon Travels Nevada Reno

Top 5 Things to Do in Reno Without Leaving Your Hotel

Reno is known as the biggest little city in the world. I don’t make it out to Reno often as I prefer Las Vegas, but I was pleasantly surprised by Reno’s offerings that have changed since I was a kid. I had a wonderful opportunity to experience THE ROW— comprised of the Eldorado Resort Casino, Circus Circus Reno, and Silver Legacy Resort Casino. The three properties are connected and house many different dining and activities for all to enjoy. I stayed at the Circus Circus property and enjoyed many of THE ROW’s outstanding amenities (all without ever leaving the hotel!). Here are my favorite things to do in no particular order:

1.) Play games and watch free performances at The Midway

The Midway is a huge indoor carnival located inside Circus Circus. You can play classic carnival games like balloon darts or ball tosses. There are also FREE daily acrobatic performances that go on throughout the day. It’s super fun to load up a game card and play a bunch of games. The performances I witnessed were pretty fun and exhilarating to watch!

2.) Dine at The Buffet at Eldorado

We experienced a lovely brunch buffet at the Eldorado casino. It included a champagne mimosa option and there is a lot of variety of food. I usually prefer dinner buffets but the brunch buffet here is definitely worth the price. They have the usual suspects like scrambled eggs and bacon and unique options like smoked salmon eggs benedict and mushroom ravioli.

3.) Get pampered at The Spa at Silver Legacy

The highlight of the trip for me was experiencing The Spa at Silver Legacy where I had the BEST deep tissue massage of my life. My neck pain has improved since. The spa amenities include all-day access to salt room, steam room, jacuzzi, rooftop heated pool, and saunas. There is a food and drink menu along with a full salon where you can enjoy a complete day of relaxation and luxury.

4.) Join a cooking class with Executive Chef Ivano Centemeri

Another highlight was getting to preview a new cooking class taught by Executive Chef Ivano Centemeri inside a kitchen at Eldorado. You must book this class if you can! If you love Italian food as I do, you will enjoy making pasta while learning about the cuisine right from an Italian chef! Chef Centemeri is a friendly teacher that will sure bring the laughs during class. The best part? You get to eat everything you make! We made classic pasta dishes like gnocchi and ravioli and even stuffed gnocchi.

5.) Watch a show at the Reno Events Center

Now the Reno Events Center may not technically be inside the ROW, but it is just a short walk across the street! We were lucky to catch Jerry Seinfeld’s show during the weekend. If you can splurge for tickets in their suites, you can enjoy an open bar during the whole show. And trust me, comedy shows are way more fun when you are sipping on some wine or a beer!

Thank you to THE ROW for sponsoring my stay. All opinions in this blog are my own.
