Hi all! I hope you’re having a great beginning of December! It’s been awhile since my last personal blog post so I thought I would give you an update on my recent travels and life in general. These past few months have been super busy with international trips, foodie tastings, and new exciting blog projects.
In October, I had the opportunity to go on a work trip to Bangalore, India and Hsinchu City, Taiwan. I had never been to either city before so that was an exciting time. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to explore Bangalore much so I don’t have great material to make a guide or blog post about it. However, I highly recommend staying at the resort I was at, Leela Palace Bangalore, if you are looking for a more upscale experience in that city. It is not near much of any main attractions so if you want to be low key and have a place to escape and relax, this beautiful resort sure does the trick. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the resort itself is gorgeous, and there are restaurants on site as well as a mini mall across the way. The perfect place to unwind after working and attending meetings!
On the other hand, I had a lot more time to explore Hsinchu City in Taiwan. I did some research beforehand and found some cute places to try. I did a small blog post about it here if you ever find yourself in Hsinchu City and need some recommendations. Hsinchu City is about 45 minutes away from the capital city, Taipei, so I can’t wait to go back and explore the capital more. From my experience, the people in Taiwan are super warm and friendly!
After India and Taiwan, I only had one week back in the U.S. before my next international trip. Three time zones in three weeks is super exhausting but I was having a blast traveling. My friends and I traveled to Amsterdam, Netherlands and Venice, Italy for my friend’s birthday. Neither of us had visited before and it is only my second European trip so far! I was super excited and we ended up making the most of the week that we had. I did a blog post of my favorite stops in Amsterdam here and a small Venice blog post is coming soon! Both cities were extraordinary and I hope to go back to both as we didn’t get enough time to explore them fully.
All the while, I had a handful of opportunities to do food tastings in San Jose and San Francisco (and in between). Tastings are always fun and some of the business owners I meet are so inspiring. It makes me feel like I can open a coffee/tea shop of my dreams one day. Shout out to Rise Pizzeria, Le Marais Bakery, Psycho Donuts, Flights, Teaquation, Coup di Thai, Poki Spot, and many more for collaborating! We did a fun giveaway with Psycho Donuts on Instagram so make sure you are following me on there for future giveaways.
In even more exciting news, I just came back from a staycation at the Four Seasons Palo Alto. I have been working on this project for the past month and I’m super excited to share it in the next few weeks with you all! I’ll give you a hint: if you’re looking for some places in Palo Alto for your Instagram, stay tuned to my next blog post!
Before I end this I want to highlight a fun interview I did with Andy of ThisCapturedLife.com. Read the complete interview here to find out about my food photography tips and San Francisco food recommendations! Thank you for reaching out, Andy! Give his incredible blog a visit and follow him on Instagram here.
That’s about it from me! The Holidays are here and Christmas is coming up so fast. This is my favorite time of the year and it’s passing by so quickly. Don’t forget to live in the moment and spend time with those you cherish!
